This property determines the product’s ability to maintain its efficacy by effectively filtering UVA and UVB rays over time, despite exposure to the sun. Adequate photo-stability is therefore crucial to preventing sunburn, premature skin ageing, and reducing the risk of long-term skin damage.

From a formulation point of view, assessing photo-stability helps developers to optimize the selection of UV filters and stabilizers, thus fostering innovation and improvement in sunscreens. Indeed, bhile each UV filter has its own distinct photochemical properties, these can be influenced by the stereochemical composition of its environment, thus modifying its reaction to exposure. As a result, it is possible to observe significant variations in the photodegradation of different formulations, even when they incorporate the same UV filters. Fortunately, a balanced formulation can minimize or even prevent photoinstability..

 Optimizing the stability of sunscreens therefore requires in-depth, specific analysis for each new formula developed.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=”mailto:commercial@weneos.com” button_text=”Request a quote” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_3,1_3,1_3″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”#f4f0ec” width=”100%” max_width=”2560px” module_alignment=”center” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”50px||50px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_number_counter title=”days for an in vitro study with a final report” number=”7″ percent_sign=”off” _builder_version=”4.24.3″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_number_counter][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_number_counter title=”solar studies carried out” number=”+25000″ percent_sign=”off” _builder_version=”4.24.3″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_number_counter][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_number_counter title=”compliance with solar standards” number=”100″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_number_counter][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” background_enable_color=”off” custom_padding=”||||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.24.3″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][dsm_text_divider header=”Development” _builder_version=”4.24.3″ _module_preset=”default” header_level=”h1″ header_font=”|600||on|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”][/dsm_text_divider][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.24.3″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” text_orientation=”justified” global_colors_info=”{}”]

As part of your product development or to identify a candidate ingredient, we offer screening tests that enable you to assess UVB and UVA protection with ease.

[/et_pb_text][dsm_faq _builder_version=”4.24.3″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][dsm_faq_child dsm_title=”In Vitro Photostability – Standard approach” dsm_content=”

The present protocol consists in evaluating the evolution of the protection level of sunscreen after exposure to UV at a specified UV dose.

Development

As part of your […]

["post-10227","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
