One of the many factors that can affect the level of protection provided by these products is contact with water. The UV filters contained in the formulation can be leached out or physically removed by the washing action in the sea or swimming pool.<\/p>\n<p>To make suncare products more effective, manufacturers have developed formulations that are more skin-friendly when immersed in water.
