In February 2026, ISO published an amendment to ISO 24443:2021 for the in vitro assessment of UVA protection:
- ISO 24443:2021/Amd 1:2026 – Cosmetics – In vitro determination of UVA photoprotection of sunscreen products / Amendment 1.
This amendment 1 (2026) supplements ISO 24443:2021 with regard to clarification of manual/automatic spreading, temperature control during all test stages, and modification of a topographical parameter for a substrate.
